Open call for CIRCLE 2022!

CIRCLE Women Doc Accelerator opens the call for its fifth edition, looking for up to 10 women filmmakers (directors or producers) with a strong creative documentary project in any stage of production who are seeking further support to upgrade their professional skills and develop their films with the leading experts and bring them to the wider professional audience.

The program of CIRCLE 2022 features 3 tailor made sessions in 3 different countries*, focusing on different aspects of project development:

Module 01: June 2022, Serbia

In-depth analysis of projects

The first module is focused on creative development through an intense in-depth analysis of the projects with expert script writers and producers aiming to reach a new perception of each project, improve the content and their overall potential.

Module 02: September 2022, Croatia

Project packaging

The second module is dedicated to building up tailor-made production and communication strategies with the mentoring of leading experts specialized in packaging and marketing in order to raise international visibility and financing potential.

Module 03: January 2023, Italy

Networking at When East Meets West / Trieste Film Festival

The highlight is on networking and presentation of the participants and projects to the potential partners and decision makers during the WEMW.

Timeline of application process: Submission deadline: February 18, 2022 Announcements of the results: beginning of April 2022

Fee and Scholarship: Participation fee is 3000€, covering the pedagogical fee, accommodation and meals for all three modules, as well as a variety of offers by our partners. CIRCLE Women Doc Accelerator may allocate up to two scholarships for participants in need.

*Please note that due to the COVID-19 restrictions, CIRCLE Women Doc Accelerator 2022 may be obliged to adapt its program. The dates of the workshop will be confirmed as soon as possible and it could be partially or completely held online, during the announced time period (June 2022 - January 2023). Selected participants will be additionally informed about the program details.
