We are thrilled to invite you to the hybrid CIRCLE & RE-ACT Mini Lab, taking place on October 14-15, 2021, and is organized in partnership with RE-ACT & the Festival of Slovenian Film Portorose!


All interested film professionals and Festival of Slovenian Film Portorose attendees will have an amazing opportunity to join two valuable and inspirational ONLINE sessions led by CIRCLE experts: Biljana Tutorov - CIRCLE program director, film director and producer (Serbia), and Yael Bitton - editor & screenwriter (Switzerland/France).

Yael Bitton

Yael Bitton has been making films for over 20 years, as an editor, director, tutor, and script supervisor. She currently works as an editing tutor at DokIncubator, and tutors students at the HEAD / Cinéma du Réel in Geneva. She is a consulting editor for the Rough Cut Service, hosted by Ikka Vehkalahti. Some of her recent credits as an editor include: Advocate by Philippe Bellaiche & Rachel Leah Jones; Los Fantasmas des Caribe by Felipe Monroy; Machines by Rahul Jain; The Wonderful Kingdom of Papa Alaev by Noam Pinchas and Tal Barda; Muchachas by Juliana Fanjul; as an editing or script consultant: The Edge of Democracy by Petra Costa; Thy Father’s Chair by Antonio Tibaldi and Alex Lora; as a script supervisor: Lisbon Story by Wim Wenders.



Biljana Tutorov

After graduating Art History at the Catholic University in Louvain (Belgium) Biljana studied Film Anthropology at Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes and Drama at Ecole Internationale de Theatre Jacque Lecoq in Paris. She is the author of several short, feature, and documentary films, video works, and performances. In 2010 she founded in Novi Sad (Serbia) an independent film production, Wake Up Films, with an idea to support the new talents from the region. Biljana established and programmed a Regional competition for fiction and docs at FREE ZONE Film Festival in Belgrade until 2017. In 2018 she founded the CIRCLE Women Doc Accelerator, a new platform and training initiative dedicated to female-identifying filmmakers. Biljana was a member of the 59. Festival dei Popoli, Florence, international jury. She is among selected 2021 EAVE Producers workshop participants and Chicken & Egg Pictures grantees and is alumna of EURODOC and Producers On The Move, a member of DOK Serbia, European Women Audiovisual Network (EWA), European Film Academy (EFA), and a member of the advisory board of Documentary Association of Europe (DAE).
